How To Use A Coffee Dosing Cup

The Barista Progear Coffee Dosing Cup is the perfect tool for transferring coffee from your grinder to your portafilter mess free. The coffee dosing cup not only speeds up work flow, thanks to the side flange it sits perfectly in the portafilter basket with no mess or loss of coffee grinds. This ensures consistency as the entire coffee dose from the grinder makes it to the portafilter with out any loss of grinds.

Dosing coffee without a scale

1. Place the dosing cup under your grinder chute and grind coffee
2. Place portafilter upside down over the dosing cup then flip it over
3. Collapse portafilter on the bench to ensure the coffee grinds fall into the portafilter basket and don’t mount in one area
4. The coffee grinds are now ready to be evenly distributed in the basket and tamped

Dosing coffee with a scale

1. Place coffee dosing cup on a scale and tare the scale to zero
2. Place the dosing cup under your grinder chute and grind coffee
3. Place dosing cup back on the scale to check coffee dose weight and adjust as required
4. Place portafilter upside down over the dosing cup then flip it over
5. Collapse portafilter on the bench to ensure the coffee grinds fall into the portafilter basket and don’t mount in one area
6. The coffee grinds are now ready to be evenly distributed in the basket and tamped
